Some Important Notes :
  1. The travel insurance must be applied for by means of this online application form with the prerequisite of the acquirement of an electronic insurance certificate before the insured persons depart from Hong Kong.
  2. The insured persons must have a valid and true address in Hong Kong.
  3. The travel insurance is only applicable to a journey starting from Hong Kong.
  4. This insurance is effective outside the Place of Origin. Place of Origin will be regarded as Hong Kong unless otherwise specifically mentioned on the Application Form by the Applicant and specifically endorsed in the Certificate of Insurance by the company.
  5. Maximum Period of Insurance for Super Diamond Plan / Super Gold Plan up to 180 days; for China Plan up to 90 days.
  6. Applications made earlier than 90 days prior to the departure date is not accepted.
  7. No cancellation and premium refund are allowed once the policy is issued.
  8. An Insured Person can only be covered under one Insurance Certificate / Policy for the same insured Journey (except the free insurance provided by the travel agent). If the Insured Person is covered under more than one Certificate / Policy underwritten by the Company for the same Journey, the liability of the Company in respect of any one Insured Person for the same Journey is limited to the maximum benefits payable under one Insurance Certificate.
  9. This policy is valid for the purpose of leisure travel or business travel (limited to administrative and non-manual works only).
  10. If you must designate a beneficiary, please fill in the beneficiary designation form. For enquires, please contact Blue Cross Travel Insurance Hotline on (852) 3608 2932 during office hours or download the form at www.bluecross.com.hk .
  11. The online application form of the travel insurance is applicable to Super Diamond and Super Gold Plans, the Journey shall include Hong Kong or such travel arrangements must be made and paid in Hong Kong. For China Plan, the Journey must depart from Hong Kong or Macau and such travel arrangements must be made and paid in Hong Kong. In the above described circumstances, please make your application for the travel insurance to Tiglion Travel with adequate lead time before the Journey starts so that the application can be approved with payment settled satisfactorily before the departure date.
  12. We only accept online credit card payment on Visa or MasterCard for online application.
  13. This brochure is for reference only. Please refer to the actual policy for exact terms and conditions. In case there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of this brochure, the English version shall prevail.

Extension of coverage to Personal Accident, Medical Expenses, Worldwide Emergency Aid, Travel Delay, etc.
Emergency Cash Assistance
During the Journey in China, the Insured Person is eligible to have Emergency Cash Assistance through the branches of the Bank of East Asia in China, if he / she losses personal money in a robbery, or travel documents in a robbery or an accident. Maximum cash advance is HK$500 or equivalent amount in RMB.
Automatic Extension
Automatic extension of insurance cover for a maximum of 10 days, due to unavoidable delay of the scheduled itinerary without additional premium.
No limitation on the number of unmarried children aged below 18 (applicable to "Individual + Children" and "Family" packages)
Age Limit
Insurable ages are 6 weeks to 85 years old. Individually insured children under the age of 18 must obtain consent from the parent or guardian.
